Named in honor of Paul Harris (1868–1947) who, in 1905, founded Rotary International as a forum for business leaders to meet and provide services to benefit their local communities and contribute to international understanding. Now, with 1.2 million members worldwide, Rotarians support a variety of worthy causes, including the Polio Plus program that has immunized millions of children around the globe.
