Owakenoomi was a ruler of north Musashi in the latter half of the fifth century. The leader of a troop of guardsmen of the Emperor Yuuryaku, he was buried in the Inariyama old burial mounds in Gyodashi, Saitama prefecture, with an iron sword inlaid with gold that is now a national treasure.
