Wolfgang Mantl (b. 1939) is professor of jurisprudence and constitutional law at the University of Graz. Mantl is a leading expert in building bridges to the neighboring countries of southeast Europe. He is chairman of the Austrian Board of Science and a lover of astronomy. The name was suggested by the first discoverer.
