Alison Doane (b. 1958) has held the position of assistant curator (from 1983 to 2001) and curator (from 2001 to the present) of astronomical photographs at the Harvard College Observatory. She was also principal oboe with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra from 1982 to 2001.
